ANZSA Board Election

The ANZSA Board election process is underway to elect 8 Board members. ANZSA members are warmly invited to nominate candidates for election and participate in the voting process.  The Returning Officer is Julie Duvenage. If you are not a member, you will need to sign up for membership to validate your vote.

The timetable for the ANZSA Board Election is as follows:

  • 28 November 2022 – Call for nominations of members
  • 19 December 2022 – Candidate Submissions for Board positions close
  • 22 December 2022 – Bios on Board nominees circulated to members via email and voting begins
  • 23 January 2023 – Board voting closes at 4pm
  • 10 February 2023 – Announcement of members of elected Board
  • 7 March 2023 – First Board meeting with new Board.

Nominations & Submissions of Candidates for Election:

Nominations for Board positions will be done via Google forms.
You may nominate yourself by submitting the Candidate submission form. This must be received before 4pm, on 19th December 2022. We suggest you also email a photo of yourself by emailing a JPG image to [email protected]
If you do not receive a confirmation of your submission please contact [email protected]zsa.org.nz to confirm receipt.

Nominate another person for a Board position by submitting a Board member nomination form. Please note the candidate you have nominated will still be required to complete their Candidate Submission form.  This must be received before 19th December, 4pm.

Note no submissions will be considered if received after 4pm on 19th December 2022.

Voting in the ANZSA Election:

Members will be sent an email with information on all nominees on or before 22 December 2022.
Voting takes place between 22 December 9am and 23rd January at 4pm.  Members will receive an email with a link to a google form to place their votes.

Voting is only open to ANZSA members, using the email address on your registration. Please sign up for membership If you are not already a member before you can vote.

NOTE: A Corporate member may not vote. Only humans can vote in this election.  If your organisation is a member of ANZSA and not you personally, please complete a proxy form to vote on your organisation’s behalf. 

If you are an individual member of ANZSA, and would like someone else to vote on your behalf, complete the proxy form to let them use your vote.

Please submit your proxy or return it to the Secretary via email ([email protected]) before 22 December 2022.

Each member has 8 votes in total:  Four of these 8 votes are for specific roles:

  1. Chairperson
  2. Deputy Chairperson
  3. Secretary
  4. Treasurer.

The remaining 4 votes (5-8) are for additional, non office-holding Board members.
